Jessica Renee Petty

Jessica Renee Petty was born on October 4,1985 in La Mesa, California to Tim and Helen Rominger. 

She was preceded in death by her infant twins, Logan and Evelyn Petty; father, Tim Rominger; grandparents, Tom and Doris Rominger; grandfather Paul Granville; aunt Paula and uncle Mike Lewis. 

She is survived by her daughter, Isabella; mother, Helen Rominger; brother Jared Rominger; grandmother, Mirta Granville; Isabella’s father, Jason Petty; aunt Christy Robles (Monica Lucas); uncles Adolfo (Summer) Castells, Roger Rominger, and Matt (Denise) Rominger; in-laws Don and Mary Phillips; and significant other, “Cookie”.

Jessica’s immense love for her daughter was evident to anyone who met her. Thankfully, they were able to go on a Disney cruise together in 2024, along with Jessica’s mom, that provided some great memories for each of them. She loved Izzy to the moon and back and to infinity and beyond! 

Jessica worked hard and knew what she wanted and always went after it. From a young age, she had a love for animals and graduated from Purdue University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2013. She was a practicing Veterinarian in the Indianapolis area for 7 years. Unfortunately, Jessica’s career and life were cut short as a result of Huntington’s Disease (HD), an inherited neurological disease which currently has no cure or treatment. HD is often characterized as having Alzheimer’s, ALS and Parkinson’s simultaneously. 

Traveling the world was very important to Jessica and Jason and they did it well!! Their travels started in 2009 with their honeymoon in Hawaii, then Alaska, Puerto Rico/carribean, Spain, Italy, Ireland, South Africa, Hawaii again, England, and Alaska. After Izzy was born, they were able to travel as a family to Yosemite/Lake Tahoe and then moved to Florida for a few years. 

Jessica accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized in April of 2024 at Mount Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood. Praise God that she is now and will forever be in Jesus’ presence. This gives her family great peace and comfort.
