Steven W. Williamson

Steven Wayne Williamson went home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 25, 2024.  Steve was born on April 17, 1969, to his parents James C. and Judith (McNary) Williamson. He was a 1987 graduate of South Putnam High School and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ivy Tech. On June 5,1993, Steve married the love his life Julie (Nees) Williamson with whom they share three wonderful sons.  Steve was employed for over 27 years as a Manufacturing Engineer for Crown Equipment Corporation in Greencastle, IN.

Those fortunate to know Steve were well aware of his big heart for others. Often times Steve would send a text or call friends and family just to check to see how they were doing. Steve, along with his wife, were active as group leaders in the youth programs at Greencastle Christian Church, Cloverdale Youth Baseball, and the many other activities their sons were involved in. Steve was also active in the Putnam Parks and Pathways, Friend of the Park, DINO, bicycled in several RAIN rides (Ride Across Indiana) and in The Dust Bowl 100. While his love for bicycling was influenced by his grandfather McNary, Steve loved his cycling community and the many adventures they went on together.

In addition to his wife and parents, Steve is survived by his sons and their wives Ethan (Katie), Evan (Caitlynn), and Elliott (Karlee). He is also survived by his sister Stacy (Gary) Williams, brother Chris (Tina) Williamson, in laws, Dave and Marcia Nees; brother-in-law Jamison (Missy) Nees, his nieces and nephews Kedric (Baylee), Zoey, Alexis, Elijah, Ian, and Ava, his Aunt Martha Wallace, Uncles Joe (Linda) McNary, and Jerry (Linda) Williamson and beloved cousins and friends.

A celebration of life for Steven will be held Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 at 1:00pm, Greencastle Christian Church, Greencastle, IN.  Visitation will be held from 11:00am until service time.
